One of us is a trained scientist with a lifelong passion for cosmetics formulation and a deep understanding of skin health. The other—a seasoned L’Oréal executive—brings over 30 years of global expertise in building iconic beauty brands. From opposite ends of the industry, we came together with a common frustration: too many products overpromise, underdeliver, and hide behind flashy claims.

Dr. Murat CETINBAS
CEO, Co-Founder, OrganixLab USA and the Americas
Chief Technology Officer – OrganixLab Worldwide
Dr. Murat began his professional journey as a cosmetic chemist, formulating skincare products in his very first role. His passion for science led him to earn a B.Sc. in Chemistry and an M.Sc. in Quantum Chemistry from Yıldız Technical University in Turkey, followed by a Ph.D. at Simon Fraser University in Canada, where he focused on challenges in emerging quantum technologies.
He has worked across multiple scientific fields, including plasmonics, biophysics, molecular evolution, bioinformatics, and genetics/epigenetics. He conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard’s Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, later becoming a staff scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital and an associate at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Murat has authored over 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
Despite his academic success, he never lost his passion for skincare. Throughout his career, he remained involved in cosmetics formulation, consulting for brands that value clean science-backed innovation. OrganixLab is the realization of that enduring passion—skincare that reflects his commitment to precision, transparency, and care with every drop.

Yalcın Cakin brings over 30 years of executive-level experience in the global beauty and cosmetics industry. Having spent much of his career at L’Oréal, one of the world’s most prestigious beauty conglomerates, he led numerous successful product launches and played a vital role in shaping both emerging and established skincare brands. His expertise spans business development, team building, sales and marketing, brand building, and international market strategies.
Throughout his career, Yalçın was recognized not only for his strategic insights but also for his deep understanding of consumer needs and market trends. His talent for creating successful private labels and mentoring rising brands across a wide range of cosmetic categories has earned him a reputation as a trusted consultant and leadership role in the industry.
Yalcin’s dedication to the craft goes far beyond business.
